Sales Director - Ophthalmic

The Director of Sales will be responsible for helping FGX grow the Opthalmic Channel by achieving or exceeding revenue goals for the division.  He/she will provide leadership and vision for the ECP organization and play a lead role in the overall management of the business.

 

Key responsibilities to achieve revenue objectives:

  • Develop and implement the independent distribution plan through reps and/or distributors
  • Train and evaluate the sales organization
  • Establish and manage relationships with national accounts

Key responsibilities relating to business management:

  • National sales responsibility for frames, sunglasses and reading glasses in the Ophthalmic markets
  • Establish sales goals/revenue plans.  Build and implement sales strategy for accounts.
  • Profit management: (revenue, gross to nets, COGS and other direct expenses)
  • Work with the division’s brand manager on the development of marketing initiatives to communicate brand message, enhance our business partnerships and accelerate revenue growth
  • Help guide and direct the development of internal operational support functions
  • Timely best seller/competitive reviews with product team to help define and refine product assortments
  • Manage and liquidate discontinued inventory

Key Initiatives (first 60 days):

  • Help launch, coordinate and manage key distribution partnerships (ELOA, Nassau/OOGP, and others)
  • Lead the sales initiatives in existing and prospective national chain accounts like Costco and National Vision
  • Hire and train reps in targeted key markets

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  8 – 10 years of sales experience, preferably in an ECP selling environment.
